Bargaining must remain a core CAPE responsibility

Collective bargaining is one of CAPE’s fundamental responsibilities. The union must devote the attention and resources necessary to represent members effectively at the bargaining table. For this round, members have selected open bargaining. This approach carries significant costs for members and could prolong the bargaining process. Its successes and shortcomings will offer important lessons for CAPE members as they consider how to approach future bargaining rounds.
